Code as the most powerful and beautiful substance for creating art today Code is one of the most powerful, sophisticated and fascinating matters we have today to create art. We can not forget that writing code is in fact writing. It’s a text, written in a language, so I truly believe that in the future it will be considered some kind of literature. As in other types of written creation, there are algorithms written in a brilliant, elegant and beautiful way, and others written in a convoluted and obscure manner. And anyone who is able to read the language can appreciate that difference and perceive that beauty in the writing. There is a tendency to think that coding consists of writing instructions following an established and standardised protocol, like programming the microwave oven, but this is not the case, in fact it is the opposite. It is creative work, much more like writing a story, and no two coders write the same thing the same way, even to produce the same results.

For the first time we are valuing coding in its full measure, perceiving its beauty, considering it creative, an art form in itself, a form of literature, and enjoying all the creative possibilities that this intangible and inaudible matter, but with immense creative potential, offers us.

What an exiting time to be an artist!
